About these rules

These rules apply to everyone in the Competitive Soccer server, whether you play, manage or just hang around. By joining the server or signing for a club, you agree to follow them.

If something comes up that isn't covered here, staff decide what happens and their decision is final. Not knowing a rule is never an excuse, so give this a proper read.

01

Conduct

Treat people the way you'd want to be treated. Banter is part of football, being horrible to people isn't.

  • Personal attacks, harassment and bullying are not allowed.
  • No racism, sexism, homophobia or any other kind of discrimination. This one gets you removed straight away.
  • Don't spam, flood channels or mass ping people.
  • Don't advertise other servers or groups. If you want to partner with CS, open a Partnership ticket.
  • Keep each channel on its topic and keep NSFW content out of the server completely.
  • Don't pretend to be staff, a manager or another player.
  • Don't leak DMs, private conversations or staff messages without permission.
  • You have to follow the Discord Terms of Service and the Roblox Terms of Use at all times.
02

Accounts and verification

To play in CS you need a verified Roblox account linked to your Discord.

  • Join the CS Roblox group first, then verify in the verify channel. The bot gives you a code to put in your Roblox profile so we know the account is really yours.
  • One Discord account per Roblox account, and one of each per person. Alt accounts are not allowed.
  • Stay in the CS Roblox group for as long as you play. If you leave it, you can't play until you rejoin.
  • Playing on someone else's account, or letting someone play on yours, gets both accounts banned.
  • Changed your Roblox account? Open a General Support ticket and staff will move your link over.
03

Clubs and squads

Season 1 has 16 clubs split into two divisions of 8.

  • Every club needs at least 9 players and can have no more than 18.
  • A club that still has fewer than 9 players when the transfer window closes can be disbanded by staff.
  • You can only be signed to one club at a time.
  • Every club has one manager and can have one assistant manager.
  • Staff can move a club to another division, or remove it, if it's inactive or keeps breaking the rules.
04

Managers and assistant managers

Managers run their club, and they answer for how their players behave.

  • Managers are appointed by staff. Keep an eye on announcements for when spots open up.
  • A manager can pick one player from their own squad to be assistant manager.
  • Assistant managers can sign and release players too, but they can't release the manager.
  • It's on the manager to get their club to every match on time with enough players.
  • A manager who goes inactive, abuses the role or keeps breaking rules can be removed by staff.
  • Want to step down? Tell staff through a ticket. Managers can't release themselves.
05

Transfers

Every signing and release goes through the bot and gets posted in the transactions channel.

  • Players can only be signed or released while the transfer window is open. Staff announce when it opens and when it closes.
  • When a club wants you, the offer comes to your DMs. You have 24 hours to accept or decline it, and nobody can sign you unless you accept.
  • Keep your DMs open to server members, otherwise offers can't reach you.
  • While the window is closed, each club has 2 emergency signings for the whole season. Once they're gone, they're gone until next season.
  • A released player becomes a free agent straight away.
  • If you leave the server, you're released from your club automatically.
  • Getting around the transfer rules in any way, like signing someone through a second account, counts as breaking them.
06

Matches

Staff post the fixtures and kickoff times, and match calls go out to the Match Calls role.

  • Be ready before kickoff. Pick up the Match Calls role in the roles channel so you never miss a call.
  • If a club can't put out enough players 15 minutes after kickoff, they lose 3 nil. Staff post how many players a team needs along with the fixtures.
  • A match can only be moved if both managers agree and staff approve it before the original kickoff.
  • A club that forfeits twice in one season can be disbanded.
  • Only players signed to a club can play for it.
  • Sanctioned players can't play until their sanction is over.
07

Results and disputes

Staff post every result and every table update, and those are what count.

  • Think a result is wrong? Open a ticket within 24 hours of the match ending.
  • Back it up with clips or screenshots. No evidence means the result stands.
  • Arguing about results in public channels won't change anything, and if it keeps happening it can lead to a sanction.
  • If something went wrong in a match, staff can replay it, award it to one side or void it. That decision is final.
08

Fair play

Win it on the pitch or don't win it at all.

  • No exploits, scripts, macros or anything else that gives you an unfair advantage.
  • Abusing a glitch on purpose counts as exploiting. If you find one, report it in a ticket.
  • Fixing a match, or agreeing a result before it's played, gets everyone involved banned.
  • Losing on purpose is treated the same as match fixing.
  • Letting a player who isn't signed to your club play in your place is not allowed.
09

Sanctions and appeals

Breaking these rules can get you sanctioned, which means a ban for a set amount of time.

  • Staff issue sanctions and post them in the sanctions channel with the reason and the date it ends.
  • While you're sanctioned you have the Sanctioned role. You can't play, get signed or accept a contract offer.
  • A sanction ends by itself when the time is up. Leaving and rejoining the server won't get rid of it.
  • Using another account to dodge a sanction gets you a longer ban, or a permanent one.
  • How long a sanction lasts depends on how serious it was and whether you've done it before.
  • You can appeal once per sanction by opening an Appeal a Sanction ticket. Be honest and explain why it should be lifted.
10

Tickets and staff

Tickets are how you reach staff about anything to do with the league.

  • Pick the ticket type that fits: General Support, Report a Player, Appeal a Sanction or Partnership.
  • Explain the problem properly the first time and add any evidence you have.
  • Don't open tickets as a joke, and don't open more than one for the same thing.
  • Don't DM staff about league stuff. Use a ticket so everything is on record.
  • Be patient. Staff do this in their free time and will get back to you as soon as they can.
11

Changes to these rules

Staff can update these rules at any time, and every change gets announced in the server. The version in this document is the one that counts.

If you're ever not sure whether something is allowed, ask in a ticket before you do it.
